    We are currently looking for a Part Time Occupational Health Physician to join our client site in Waynesboro, VA. 



    • Work with staff to provide on-site treatment and management of injuries and minimize the need for off-site medical treatment
    • Provide occupational health services (i.e., physicals, occupational surveillance exams, medical monitoring, return to work exams, etc.) as needed
    • Provide emergency medical services to Site employees
    • Prescribe medication as necessary, including recommended immunizations and follow-up boosters
    • Participate and support in incident investigations as requested by the Site HSSE Manager particularly in regards to mechanism of injury
    • Maintain open communications and timely reporting with WorkCare and client Medical Directors, WorkCare supervisory staff and other vested interests regarding clinic operations and client requests 



    • Medical degree (MD or DO) from a U.S. accredited program
    • Active, in good standing and unrestricted Virginia physician license
    • Must have Unrestricted DEA license 
    • Current ACLS/BLS certifications
    • 5+ years of experience delivering patient care in an occupational healthcare, primary care, urgent care or emergency room setting
    • Strong knowledge in the industrial management preferred
    • Demonstrates the ability of maintaining privacy and confidentiality
    • Possess critical thinking skills and the ability to operationalize comprehensive , safe and effective occupational medical practice
    • Knowledge in OSHA regulations, Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) preferred
    • Comfortable managing traumatic injuries and occasional emergent situations (e.g., suturing, wound care, minor fractures, dehydration, diabetic emergencies, chest pain, respiratory difficulties, etc.)
    • Willing/able to make independent medical decisions in accordance with published standards, scope of practice and company policies and procedures
    • Willing/able to take initiative in order to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge base to effectively manage care within an occupational setting
    • Maintains a professional demeanor/approach during stressful circumstances
    • Maintains effective communication and management skills with a varied work force
    • Possesses strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills


    Flexible Schedule: 2 days a month (8 hour days)
