    We are currently looking for a Temporary Proposal Writer to join our team in Anaheim, CA.

    Responsibilities

    The Proposal Writer will oversee the initiation, development, and completion of responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and develop proposals. Provide proposal support to internal customers. Complete additional writing project assignments.

     

    Job Duties

    • Writes, edits, formats, and produces low-to-high complexity proposal documents within given deadline/timeframe.
    • Primary responsibility for preparation/review of the proposal write-ups
    • Works collaboratively with account teams and corporate leadership to prepare a proposal plan that meets the objectives of the proposal timeline.
    • Distribute inquiry documents to others involved in the proposal preparation as required
    • Obtain assistance from other departments as required to prepare the proposal
    • Clearly define the Scope of Work and Services offered to the Customer and identify any clarifications or exceptions to the Customer’s inquiry.
    • Establish sustainable relationships with internal/external partners and clients
    • Manages multiple projects and uses effective project management tools such as proposal plans, schedules, outlines, compliance matrices, and reviews
    • Updates and maintains proposal tracking and information database(s)
    • Participates in department meetings, initiatives, and/or projects
    • Obtain feedback from projects for “lessons learned” to incorporate in future proposals
    • Develop fact sheets for distribution to internal and external clients as needed
    • Assist with creation of content for collateral and marketing materials
    • Assist with preparation of abstracts and presentations
    • Complete additional writing project assignments as directed by management
    • Performs additional duties and assumes additional responsibilities as identified by supervisor for the efficient operation of WorkCare.
    • Managing proposal templates
    • Conference packing, shipping and support when needed  

    Qualifications

    • Degree in Business, Communications, English or related field is required. Healthcare experience or an understanding of the healthcare market is a strong plus
    • At least 5 years of direct work experience in proposal development and writing
    • Demonstrated experience in implementing and executing proposal development processes
    • Excellent business writing and communication skills
    • Excellent proofreading and editing skills
    • Outstanding ability to prioritize and organize
    • Proven ability to concurrently manage multiple projects with tight deadlines
    • Ability to influence and ensure people of all levels meet required deadlines
    • Demonstrates analytical thinking, such as: Gather and relate information from different sources to draw logical conclusions
    • Ability to identify, clarify and communicate the exact nature of internal/external customer’s problem or request and make solution recommendations
    • Notice discrepancies and inconsistencies in available information and brings it to light
    • Must be highly computer literate and proficient in using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat) to produce reports, presentations, correspondence and a variety of other material.
    • Thinks expansively by combining ideas in unique ways or making connections between disparate ideas.
