We are currently looking for a Part Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our client site in Emeryville, California.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Regional Occupational Health Manager and the Medical Director, this position is in charge of operations at our client’s on-site clinic. The ideal candidate will use independent decision-making skills to resolve problems and appropriately manage site. Provides health care services to patients, and as needed to support medical and safety efforts at site. Provides leadership, direction and coordination of all clinical activities to ensure comprehensive delivery of services and quality patient care. Cooperates with management in the direction of all center activities to ensure accomplishment of all center objectives. Evaluates medical procedures and everyday situations and suggests ways to improve delivery of service and profitability.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Patient care and treatment for occupational injuries/illnesses, regulatory exam testing
  • Protocol writing and implementation as needed
  • Develop and implement health/wellness promotion strategies 
  • Coordinate employee health screening and surveillance programs including new hire, fit-for-duty, return-to-work, medical surveillance, exit exams and substance of abuse screenings
  • Maintain employee health records and databases whilst following all HIPAA laws and regulations
  • Review work related injury and illness management protocols annually and perform effective case management follow-up for injuries, illnesses and absences.
  • Provide counseling, ergonomic evaluations, first-aid, medical treatment and appropriate follow up to occupationally ill/injured workers.
  • Create, update and maintain programs for AED, Medical Surveillance, Hearing Conservation, Wellness, Ergonomics and any other program client implements.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with clients, medical and safety personnel, WorkCare supervisors.
  • Maintain frequent communication with Medical Director and WorkCare Supervisor regarding all clinic issues and client requests, and providing timely and accurate reporting.

Qualifications

  • The ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

 

Nurse Practitioner:

Current, unrestricted California FNP or ANP license with national certification is required. Must have unrestricted DEA license. Current ACLS/BLS certifications. A minimum of 3 years advanced practice experience with prior occupational medicine preferred.

 

Physician Assistant:

PA-C License required. Unrestricted CA Physician Assistant license. Certified by NCCPA. Current DEA license. Current ACLS/BLS certification. 3 years of PA experience required. Experience in occupational health clinic preferred.
