We are currently looking for a Full Time Paramedic to work at a client site in Clarksville, TN.

Responsibilities

 

  • Provides first-aid and medical care and appropriate follow-up to site employees as requested/needed, as defined within scope of practice, following treatment care guidelines set forth by the Occupational Health Director and Client policy / procedures
    • Employee encounters
    • Wellness checks
    • Obesity weigh-ins
    • Blood pressure checks
  • Responds to all site emergencies
    • Reports immediately all emergencies to the Safety Department
  • Handles the general flow of the clinic operations – answers phones, checks mail, medical records, traffic control, etc.
  • Maintains ongoing communication with WorkCare and client regarding site injuries and illnesses
  • Maintains all pertinent paramedic and medical records required by federal, state and local agencies
  • Actively participates in the emergency response team activities, drills and training
  • Inventories supplies in clinic
  • Assists respirator fit testing as needed
  • Assists with hearing tests and spirometry tests as needed
  • Provides post-accident, pre-employment, for-cause, and random drug testing
  • Assists with noise sampling, dust sampling and fire extinguishers
  • Becomes familiar with the site, especially aware of areas in the site most likely to require a hazardous material response

Qualifications

  • Must have current Tennessee Paramedic certification
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in an EMS setting
  • Must have BLS, ACLS and CPR certification
  • Experience at industrial work locations in EMS setting preferred
  • Must possess decision making skills based on strong professional and clinical judgement
  • Requires the ability to work independently 
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability of maintaining privacy and confidentiality; critical thinking skills; and take initiative on issues that arise daily
  • Able to manage multiple priorities
  • Must have the ability to maintain a professional approach with others in job-demanding, multitasking and/or project support situations
  • Ability to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences
  • The skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities;
  • Must be service-oriented and possess strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must be competent in the Windows operating system environment with the ability to learn software as needed
